Power Combi Potting Sheds

Power combi potting sheds join a glazed potting area to a solid, lockable store in one building. The glazed end raises plants on full-length staging. The boarded end locks tools and compost away. The range runs to 35 models from £743, in 12mm dip-treated Scandinavian softwood, with a 10-year manufacturer warranty.

About our Power combi potting sheds

A combi gives you two buildings in one footprint. A glazed potting bay for growing, plus a lockable store for the mower and tools. That suits a gardener who wants growing space and a proper store without two separate sheds eating the plot. We stock 35 Power combi models, with apex or pent roofs and a 4ft or 6ft store. If you only need growing space, the Power apex and Power pent ranges are simpler and cheaper. For a hand-made building in heat-treated ThermoWood, see the Swallow Jay and Swallow Rook potting sheds.

We recommend the combi when someone needs a greenhouse and a shed but has room for only one building. You grow on the glazed side and lock the mower away on the boarded side. It is all the same dip-treated timber. Order the 6ft store if you keep bagged compost and power tools. The 4ft store is plenty for hand tools.

How the combi is laid out

The building splits into two bays under one roof. The glazed bay holds full-length two-tier staging and the toughened-glass windows. The boarded bay is a dry, lockable store. Choose an apex roof for headroom in the open, or a pent roof against a wall. Then pick a 4ft or 6ft store to suit your kit.

Matt's pick

For most gardens the 6ft-wide apex combi at £784 hits the sweet spot. You get a workable growing bay, the 4ft store and apex headroom. Move up to the 6ft store option only if a mower and bagged compost need a home alongside the tools.

How big a combi do you need?

Think about the split, not just the total width. The standard 4ft store swallows hand tools, a strimmer and a few bags. The 6ft store option takes a mower, a wheelbarrow and bulk compost. The glazed bay stays the same working width either way. Size the store to your kit and the bay to your trays.

Do you need planning permission?

Most gardens need no planning consent for these sheds. Every combi model stays under the 2.5m height limit that triggers permitted-development rules near a boundary, apex and pent alike. Check your own plot if the shed sits within 2 metres of a boundary, or on listed or conservation land. Your local planning office confirms the detail for your address.

Matt's installation tip

Set the building so the store end faces your access and the glazed end catches the light. The two bays go up as one structure on a firm, level base, so get the base square before delivery. Re-treat the timber every couple of years, paying attention to the join between the bays where rain tends to sit.

Budget and delivery

Power combi potting sheds run from £743 for the 4ft-wide model up to the largest builds with the 6ft store. Delivery is free across mainland UK, usually within 5-7 working days, booked in by text. Staging, toughened glass and the 10-year manufacturer warranty are included, so the listed price is the working price.

Frequently asked questions

What is a combi potting shed?

It joins a glazed potting bay and a lockable store under one roof. So you grow and store in one building, not two.

What size is the store?

A secure 4ft store comes as standard. A 6ft store is available as an option for a mower, barrow and bulk compost.

Can I have a pent roof on a combi?

Yes, both apex and pent roof versions are available. So the combi can stand in the open or sit against a wall.

Is the staging included?

Yes, the glazed bay carries full-length two-tier staging as standard. It runs 500mm deep, ready for trays and pots.

How is the shed delivered?

Delivery is free to mainland UK, usually within 5-7 working days. The supplier books a slot with you by text before it arrives.
